That Jesus Resurrection occurred and is not a fairy tale from 2000 years ago.
When Jesus was crucified, the Jews were determined that a resurrection could not happen. They took extraordinary measures to prevent it.
Jesus Tomb was in solid rock. It was sealed by a large stone across the entrance with a Roman seal on it. Roman soldiers were posted to guard the Tomb from grave robbers.
On Easter Sunday an earthquake hit, the guards passed out and the stone moved away from the entrance. When the guards revived, they panicked. Their failure called for the death penalty.
They fled to the Jewish High Priest for help. The Priest told them to say that while they slept the Apostles had come and stolen the body. Because of the death penalty bribes were necessary. The High Priest bribed both the soldiers and the Governor to accept the stolen body story and not to punish anyone. Cover ups are not a recent occurrence in human affairs.
The Romans did not launch an all-out hunt for Jesus body or for the Apostles who were in hiding. The whole event was conveniently set aside with the claim by one and all that no resurrection had occurred.
This is the true Easter Story, no Easter Bunnies or Easter Baskets were involved, only bribery and lies!
